Today is the Queen’s Birthday Holiday weekend so to celebrate my boy and I made scones. They were quite delicious if I say so myself.
Pretty simple. All you need is 3 cups of sifted self raising flour. Then you mix 80 grams of butter with your fingers. Once that is mixed, add a cup of milk and stir with a flat blade knife (it’s too sticky to mix with your hands) and then once its mixed through, take the mixture out of the bowl and knead it on the bench but not too much. Once kneaded, flattened it to about 2cm thick and make into 5cm circles. It should make around 16. Cook for 20 – 25 minutes in a preheated oven at 200degrees.
